"When I switched from Progressive to Jason McCloud’s State Farm insurance they were able to save me some money, but they were not there when I needed help. And they could have prevented my issue if they even took the time to look at my record. While with Progressive I had a water pipe leak and I filed a claim. I found out later that the leak was caused by a defective pipe and this was covered under a class action law suit. Progressive got their money back but the claim was on my record. I decided to move to State Farm to save some money and I added coverage for the plumbing from the house to the curb. Soon after that I actually had a leak near the water meter and of course I filed a claim. It cost State Farm $600 to settle the claim. About six months later I got a letter from State Farm saying they would not renew my homeowners insurance because of having two water leaks within 3 years, and I found that is the kiss of death in the insurance business. At the same time I got my whole house re-piped because of the class action law suit, and I thought that should solve the problem. It didn’t and I spent a terrible couple weeks trying to find someone to give me insurance. I went to 4 different brokers and they probably got quotes from 40+ insurance companies and nobody would insure me. Finally at the last minute I was able to get some insurance which cost me $900 more per year. After all this I realized Jason’s team knew that having 2 leaks within 3 years was a big issue and didn’t raise a flag when I got the insurance for the external plumbing to the curb. Plus when was going through hell scrambling to find insurance their only help was to provide me a name of a broker, but he was no help at all. I confronted Jason after all this and he knew they were wrong but I never heard anything from them afterwards. I would not recommend using his insurance agency. If nothing happens they may be fine but if there any issues they are worthless."
